Super happy to be done with this Challenge in my Discord Community "The Weekend Projects" from November, the theme was related to Mayan Culture so I decided to create a piece from the Temple of the Feathered Serpent, Teotihuacan, not exactly Mayan but close enough. I did loved the references from the place and the history behind it, it was an easy decision to find the inspiration in the references from the real place.

Decided to create blocking in Blender, Sculpting High poly in ZBrush and bake in Substance 3D Painter. Created a few Smart materials for the different parts of the structure, the material ID made this process quite easier.

The Rendering it's all Blender 3.0 with the help of Quixel Megascans for the greenery in the little scene for the final presentation. I created several tiling images from real rock surfaces to help with the textures, the process was created with Substance 3D Sampler and imported in Substance 3D Painter.

Also, it's important to mention that I got a lot of feedback and support from the community, always with the positive vibes that kept me going to finish the piece, it's the great thing from a great community like The Weekend Projects!

I really hope you like it!

Alberto.
